About the event
The theme is Movies, Mobsters and Murder.
Come back with us to a time when Hollywood was moving from silent films to the new talkies. To an extravagant house party, hosted by the notorious Katsby. With stars of stage and screen on the guest list and gangsters about to gatecrash, it's going to be a party that no-one will ever forget!
When dead bodies are found, the police are going to need your help to solve the crimes.
Glitz, glamour, gangsters and menacing murder await when the award winning MurderedforMoney brings us their latest murder mystery.
This event is free and for members only. Please arrange yourselves into teams of up to 10 people, with one person from the team filling out the attached form and emailing it to BTSSEvents@gmail.com by COB Wednesday 29 July 2020. There will be a maximum of 8 teams so please get your teams to us as soon possible to avoid missing out.
We may add people to your team if it comprises fewer than 10 people to ensure that as many members as possible can participate.
How the Murder Mystery will run
The aim of the game is to guess WHODUNNIT, how the murderer did it and the murderer’s motive. The team that gets closest to the correct answer wins!
At 5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the w/c 3 August, Murdered for Money will send every participant a set of clues revealing the storyline (this element is not interactive, you can choose to review the clues at any time). The event will then culminate with a live interrogation which will take place on Friday 7 August at 8pm.
Teams will join the Zoom call and rotate around breakout rooms in order to interrogate each of the suspects (played by real actors). Teams will then get to submit their guesses, and once they’ve done so, the murderer will be revealed!
Further instructions on joining the zoom call etc. will be sent out to participants once everyone has signed up.
As the theme is 1920s, fancy dress is encouraged. There may even be a prize for the best costume…
